The twenty-year old stood in the empty studio beside his easel, but was unable to paint. The painting class already emptied out hours ago, but he was left here alone with his thoughts for now. It seemed that no matter what he could do for the past couple of days, a thought that had become increasingly reoccurring was of that boy, Ritsuka. Soubi discarded his shirt for a moment, pausing to think a bit longer, and then stood in front of a posing mirror. He then started to unbandage his neck carefully. Sad eyes of aquamarine bore deep within his soul, quietly imploring a resounding, universal, "Why?"

Soubi lifted the brush, not facing the easel, and began to paint wistfully... ( And so he painted from deep within his soul a haunting wish he could never have been granted, no matter how hard he tried... )

After a long stretch of moments staring at his reflection, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, Soubi finally left the studio to go wash off the tangible version of an undying desire that could never truly leave him.

Let me explain this, if you wanna understand it more:
It'd like to say it's a bit symbolic of their whole relationship, not only the (obvious/potentially) abusive side, but also the whole "you are my downfall" archetype I wanted to portray (Dist->Jade). I HOPE you noticed that I tried to make Dist look as if he's hanging limp and dead and whatnot from his flower collar- the "noose," if you must- and of course I had to keep in Jade's arm there just for clarification of the doer. o-o The bruises, strangle marks and bites and everything else including his dislocated shoulder(!) is just for kicks (what, were you expecting roses?). I had fun drawing this (wonder what that says about me).

APPARENTLY I've put a lot of work into this, down to the very horrible snakeskin-y (pain in the ass) pants of Disto, so please, if you have any comments and stuff about this, it's greatly appreciated if you share 'em! Like always. ♥

First off, in response to facklemuffin's entry I decide to throw in my two cents. Kind of like a reply here. o-o Bear with me.

On the topic of college - Matt, matt, matt. You shouldn't worry. Didn't you graduate like 12th in our whole class? Don't sweat it. Here's a site that discusses how to keep track of your GPA. Yeah, Fastweb is fun and useful (sometimes). Anyways, although it's nice that you're worried about your grades and all... you don't need to like, kill yourself over it. Just take it one piece at a time, y'know? You'll have a syllabus, just like in our English AP class (hopefully the teacher isn't as stupid as Mr. C to have to change it a bajillion times and then end up not using it at all). You just need a new mindset, a new approach! PACE YOURSELF! I'm sure you'll adjust fine. :D Of course it's scary because college is a new thing. It's more advanced, more in-depth and of course makes you, the student, incredibly independent. With most classes you'll have to use self-study... merr. Just hang in there! Remember, you're not alone! Everyone else is right along beside you, starting their college life off at just about the same time as you! :D If you ever need tips or someone to listen to ya, go ahead and call me! However don't get offended if I need to finish my work or something beforehand. Ngh. Of course I'll understand vice-versa. ^_^ Support and encouragement goes a long way... you can do (almost) aaaaaaaaaanything. La la la.
