Author Notes: The opening and ending paragraph from Soubi’s pov instead of Ritsuka’s was intentional. I don’t claim this to be a masterpiece - it was written purely as an experimental writing exercise. I wrote this roughly four months ago, on my phone while I was walking to school. I had my ipod on shuffle and Tourniquet by Manson came one and it inspired me to write this, so I guess you could say it’s loosely inspired by that song.

Soubi knew that the pain Ritsuka felt was not likely to lessen any time soon...

So I've finally started streaming, which has been a project I've been working on since October. It was more expensive than I would have liked, but I eventually managed to get everything together. So now the area around my TV is a horrible mess of wires. Here's just about everything I can remember having to purchase:

-Diamond One-Touch Video Capture card
-extra A/V cable
-Y splitter for A/V cable
-1/8" to 1/4" inch plug
-Radioshack 4-channel mixer
-horribly overpriced adapter for the mixer
-omnidirectional microphone

I'm probably forgetting a few things, but that was just about everything. Then I had to download Flash Media Encoder and set it up to work with my capture card. I kept getting stuff, thinking I had everything I needed, and then running into a problem and realizing that I needed to order more stuff.

I streamed some Tales of the Abyss and SaGa Frontier Sunday night. Then I streamed Mega Man X Command Mission today. I'll probably stream again some time this weekend. This is my justintv channel for anyone who's interested: http://www.justin.tv/kasumiblue

Streaming is kind of weird, though. It feels weird to talk while I'm playing games x_x Then you have to keep the streaming channel open to make sure that the stream hasnt't died for whatever reason. And I try to follow the chat somewhat whenever I'm playing, too. I'll see how often I end up doing this. For now I can only stream games from my PS2. I'm hoping to either figure out how to send video through PSP composite cables using a custom firmware app or just buying a PS3 3000 off of someone and streaming from that.

Hey everybody! I'm looking for a couple doujinshi in particular. I really enjoy Color Palette's work, and would like to acquire the last two books I don't have, so I'm hoping someone here may be able to point me in the right direction. If you're looking to sell a copy off, that'd be awesome, but pointing out a site on the interwebs, or...anything, really...would be very helpful.

If nothing else, perhaps you could tell me what characters and/or pairings they are? I know they stick mostly to Jade, Peony and Luke, but I'd like to know exactly what these two books focus on.

Well at least this year I got back to school ON TIME. Which means just before 7pm. And then today went on as if vacation never happened. Almost.

So. Last day of classes is the 11th. I thought that if I was able to finish my 2 final papers and hand them in early, I could come home on the 12th. But my "we're making this up as we go" class's teacher informed us today that we have a final exam period on the 14th, and we're supposed to go meet with him at that time to pick up our portfolios and get some feedback on them. Any chance I can skip out on that? I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING HOME BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE. T_T

I love how my shiny new printer decided to betray me when I needed it most. Which was this afternoon, when I had to print out that paper I wrote on Friday. (I waited to print it because I made a few changes to it in the half-hour I have between work and the class it was due for). Of course, my printer had to be retarded and not print. So I ended up running to the library on the way to the class and printing it out. Thank Lorelei for the quick-print stations.

I'm tempted to skip my Tue/Thur morning lectures these last couple weeks. The final paper can either be written on the book we just finished or the one we are supposed to have read for tomorrow. (Which I did not start). I already know I'm writing on the first book anyway. And the professor doesn't take attendance at the lectures... so why not skip all the lectures on the book I won't need to read? That would earn me 3 mornings of sleeping in, or better yet, 3 mornings of working on the final paper so I can be that much closer to going home early. If I can talk Professor Throw-Together-A-Portfolio into it.

...wow, I'm not usually this mean. I guess I'm cranky. Maybe I suffer lack of Tales? *pulls out Eternia*

Aaaand back from Seadrift! I'm surprised -- the town has a lot of charm to it! I thought I'd be bored within the first hour, but after setting up camp with my old PSX, it was all good. The place itself actually kind of reminds me of my grandma's house back in Lake Wales. Well, more the neighborhood than the house, but it's more of an atmosphere thing anyway.

Also, the neighborhood? LOADED with roaming dogs and cats. We had at least three dogs just come up and greet us, and there was another dog across the street on a chain (not all day, of course). And surprisingly, Savanna seemed to like all of them! She usually ends up growling at pretty much every dog ever, but not so here. In fact, one of the dogs (whom we nicknamed "Shorty" for his stumpy legs) got quite, ah, friendly with her. I'm not sure which was funnier/sadder, him doing that, or her just... letting him. (I did shoo him off her asap, mind you.) And then he kept coming back around to our porch! idk it was hilarious

Anyway, like I said above, I didn't really do much aside from fart around on my old PSX and talk with my aunt and uncle. Still had a great time, though! Very relaxing, that place.

So, I was brought along with my cousin to go to the movies with her friend after she and I finished with the Thanksgiving dinner with family; she wanted to go see New Moon, I didn't really care but secretly I was against it. But I thought "hey, what harm could it do?"

She bought the tickets and we went to watch it.

IT. SUCKED. TERRIBLY.
In my opinion: acting wasn't too good, barely any action; it's not even funny or serious when it's suppose to be.
I was bored to death during the first half hour D| though the CG/graphics was pretty.

Truth be told New Moon is a waste of time. I regret ever watching it - there goes almost two hours of my time I can't take back ; _ ;

I should have watched Old Dogs. Why didn't I go with my feelings?! saljgsaljg

Today is my livejournal's 6th birthday! So I bought it a rename token, seeing as I haven't used the -face suffix for a long time and since I'll probably never have kasai, I figured I'd go for the next closest thing. :|

Hope you guys all had a good Thanksgiving! Mine was easily the best I've had in years. It was just such a wonderful blend of family and extended family and friends (and kitties and puppies and ponies!!) and was really nice! victorien and sugar_and_synth both fit in quite well, particularly with my two 10-year-old cousins and their two cousins, who are six and eight. We were quite popular with the boys, who named us Mars (Ame), Jupiter (me) and Saturn (Steph) for reasons we still don't quite understand. They did terrorize us a bit, but it was only because they liked us so much, hahaha. Max in particular was clinging to my leg not wanting me to leave when we were heading out. ;; ~;;

My second cousin Eric (previously mentioned) and his partner (wife? girlfriend? idek) were awesome as usual and we had some really good conversations. And then, uh... this morning, Eric asked if Ame and I were together. FFFFFFF he and Nicole have really good gaydar. :c But there was definitely some bonding through that, and today they drove Ame and Steph back to Amherst since it was on their way.

My parents and I headed back to NJ a while later and I found out a precious tidbit of gossip about the other chunk of my family (dad's other brother, his six kids, his wife and her two kids) that didn't come up this year. Apparently a couple weeks ago, my cousin Simon was outed. He is 16 and going on his first date soon. I. KSLJFKLGJSLF. First of all, I totally called it with this kid like, years ago. Second of all, OH GOD PRECIOUS. I kind of want to send him a Facebook message and be like "HEY HONEY YOU AREN'T THE ONLY ONE♥" but I don't know if that'd be weird. In any case, knowing that I have a first cousin ally will make future coming outs easier. They fact that my family obviously adores Ame and that she fits in perfectly is also comforting! ♥

Oh god the end of ELF is on and it will make me cry EVERY TIME FOREVER. Christmas, I am going to be SO READY for you this year.

I'm gonna feel silly if someone has already mentioned or posted about this:

I have some ToA tracks that I can't find translations for. They are listed as Anthology Drama CD Vol 1 and Anthology Drama CD Vol 2. So far as I can gather, these aren't the ones that start with the Hod War, and these aren't the batch of radio show shorts that I've heard about else where.

Does anyone know if there are scrip translations anywhere? I'm especially interested in Volume 2 track 6 where Anise catches a cold.
